Fees

Litigation can be expensive. Instructing a barrister through Direct Access can substantially reduce those costs whilst giving you total control over your case. I offer all my clients a preliminary telephone consultation to check that your case is suitable for Direct Access and so that you can decide if I am the right barrister for you.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of your case. That means you are not paying a solicitor to do the things that you can do yourself. That might include receiving and reply to emails, letters and telephone calls, negotiating day to day arrangements, submitting documents to the court or putting together bundles for use in court.

Whilst I can help with all aspects of your case I only do the work that is agree with you in advance. You decide what legal help you need and when and you only pay for the work that you instruct me to do. There are no hidden extras and you know in advance exactly what my fees will be for each piece of work. You are in complete control of your legal costs at all times.

Every case is different and each one clients have different needs. Your fees will depend on the complexity of your case and the amount of legal support you ask for.

I cannot estimate what your costs will be until I, or my clerks have spoken to you and looked at any documents you have. As soon as I have a clear picture of what you need my clerks will send you a quote with my terms and conditions. You do not incur any costs until the fees are agreed and a contract signed. All fees are paid before any work is done.
